Access to Counselling for All
Facing Criminal charges or an impending conviction is a stressful time. A person may face extreme stress, isolation and discrimination. Pre-sentence support for those facing criminal charges may assist in managing the guilt, remorse, stigma, isolation, loneliness amongst other emotional and cognitive symptoms.
Centre For Psychotherapy has experience in working with justice involved individuals and groups.
Therapy is customised according to the individual with a built-in relapse prevention plan. We assist in identifying triggers to offending behaviour, and work with the individual with the aim to reduce recidivism, where possible.
We also work with the family of the justice-involved individual. It may be difficult to understand everything that is going on. The family may need support as well, and we work with them in several ways.
