"I feel empowered when I think about my life history and the different experiences I’ve been through. This in turn empowers me with enough skills to care for my clients."

List of Courses Taken

Gopal Mahey is a trauma-informed psychotherapist and senior counsellor whose work is grounded in lived experience, deep empathy, and a commitment to justice transformation. Once entangled in his own struggles with addiction and incarceration, Gopal now walks alongside others who are navigating similar challenges—helping them reframe their past, reclaim their agency, and rebuild a meaningful life.

He co-founded the Pathways to Accountability, Change and Transformation (P.A.C.T.) programme, Singapore’s first structured initiative designed to support individuals from pre-sentencing through post-release. Through the Centre for Psychotherapy, Gopal works closely with clients, families, legal professionals, and courts to deliver trauma-informed interventions, psychotherapeutic reports, and long-term rehabilitation support.

Gopal’s approach integrates clinical insight with the authenticity of personal experience. He understands firsthand the courage it takes to change—and the importance of being seen, heard, and supported through that process. Today, he dedicates his life to ensuring that justice-involved individuals have access to care, community, and hope.

“We don’t just help people stay out of prison—we help them find their way back to themselves.”

Anand Mahey's belief is that everyone is unique and is able to Self Actualize. Individuals have immense potential, and where there is potential, the possibilities are endless. Where there is a problem, there is a solution and opportunity for growth. All we need is a nudge in the right direction.

Co-founder of the Pathways to Accountability, Change and Transformation (P.A.C.T.), Anand's approach is that people have the ability to self heal (Carl Rogers, 1957) and self actualize, they need clarity and assistance in moving towards psychological progress.
